The Campbell County Solid Waste Office directs the Campbell County Litter Abatement and Clean Up programs. The office can also be of service to any citizen who wishes to dispose of old applicances, leftover paint, oil, antifreeze, and abandoned cars or has questions about other solid waste issues.

Spring Clean Up
When: March 30th, 31st and April 1st 2012
Where: Pendery Park
Campbell Police Station at 8774 Constable Drive, Alexandria
Campbell Transportation Center at 1175 Racetrack Road, Alexandria
Time: Friday & Saturday 8am to 5pm
Sunday 8am to 4pm
The Spring Clean Up will take place at three locations across Campbell County. All location will accept general (bulky) trash and debris. However, only the Transportation Center will accept scrap metal, car batteries, appliances, electronics and tires (4-6) and propane tanks.
For large items, please call in advance to 859-547-1802 before the event so arraignments can be made to accommodate you. Electronics recycling at Racetrack Road will not include TV’s, however, they will be accepted for normal disposal. If needed, please contact 859-663-8322 on the days of. In addition, loads of tires over the limit must be called in advance. Liquids will not be accepted at any site (this includes paint).

Come out and shred your documents in a safe and secure industrial sized shredder! It will take only minutes!
- FREE to all Campbell County Citizens!

- Documents will be shredded onsite, while you watch!
- You will be asked to take back all non-paper materials.

Biggs - Bring in your unwanted plastic bags to be recycled and used to make benches.
Remke - Look for 99 cent reuseable biodegradable bags at stores in June.
Wild Oats - Receive 5 cents off your bill for every grocery bag (any type) you bring back to carry home your groceries or receive a "wooden nickel" and donate your 5 cents to a local charity.
Trader Joe's - Reuse your bags and be eligible for a monthly gift certificate.
